Bio
Recruited from North Fitzroy Juniors, Norm McLennan is primarily remembered in football history as the older brother of Fitzroy legend and triple-premiership captain Harold "Lal" McLennan. Standing 180cm, a significant height for the era, Norm broke into the senior side first, making his debut in Round 1, 1907, and offering the Maroons a tall option capable of impacting contests. However, his time at the elite level was fleeting and ultimately tragic; after managing just seven games across two seasons, his career was cut short when he passed away in Queensland in early 1909 at the age of 22. While he never had the opportunity to play alongside his famous brother, he paved the way for the McLennan name to become synonymous with Fitzroy's golden era.
