Bio
Recruited from Aspley in the NEAFL after originally missing out on a Brisbane Lions Academy pathway, Oskar Baker began his AFL career with Melbourne but struggled to break into a formidable lineup. His five-season stint with the Demons yielded limited senior appearances, though he departed as a VFL premiership player with the Casey Demons before receiving an AFL lifeline from the Western Bulldogs via the pre-season supplemental selection period. A natural wingman known for his genuine speed and capacity to break lines on the outside, Baker seized his second chance at the Kennel to play his most consistent football. Despite often oscillating between the senior side and the reserves, his ability to provide run and carry has kept him in the frame as a serviceable depth player, earning him a contract extension for the 2026 season as he battles to cement a role in the Bulldogs' best 22.
