Stats
Bio
Recruited from the Collingwood Juniors, Pat Cleary was a diminutive utility who earned a brief opportunity at the top level during the 1900 season. Standing at just 169cm, he broke into the senior side for a Round 5 clash against St Kilda, enjoying a victory in his debut. He was deployed on the wing and retained his place for the subsequent fixtures against Carlton and Melbourne, but after consecutive defeats, he was omitted from the lineup. Cleary’s VFL career remained restricted to that three-game block, as he was unable to force his way back into a Magpies squad that eventually finished the season in the finals.
