Bio
Recruited from Collingwood District, Pat Farnan crossed town to join South Melbourne during the tumultuous 1915 season. Breaking into a formidable lineup that had finished runner-up the previous year and was destined for another Grand Final appearance proved a difficult task for the new recruit. Farnan managed to earn a senior call-up mid-season, booting a goal in his brief two-game stint at the top level. While his VFL career was short-lived, his tenure coincided with one of the club's strongest eras, seeing him serve as a depth player in a squad that remained a league powerhouse despite the onset of the Great War.
