Bio
Recruited from Williamstown in the VFA, Pat Kennedy was a physical anomaly for his era, standing a towering 191cm (6ft 3in) at a time when most ruckmen barely scraped six feet. Born in Heidelberg, he arrived at the Junction Oval in 1918 but struggled to translate his immense height advantage into consistent senior selection, managing only sporadic appearances across four seasons and missing the 1919 campaign entirely. While he could not cement a regular spot in the Saints' lineup during a lean period for the club, he found greater longevity in the game after hanging up the boots, serving as a VFL boundary umpire for seven seasons between 1925 and 1931.
