Bio
Recruited from the Goulburn Valley town of Avenel, Pat O'Connor arrived at the Junction Oval in 1906 and immediately established himself as a durable contributor for St Kilda. Standing 180cm—a substantial height for a footballer of the Edwardian era—he was a consistent figure in the Saints' lineup, missing very few matches during his two seasons at VFL level. He played his debut season alongside Ned O'Connor, joining a struggling side that claimed the wooden spoon in 1906 and finished second-last the following year. Despite the club's lack of on-field success, O'Connor remained a reliable presence in the team before departing the league at the conclusion of the 1907 season.
