Bio
Hailing from Avenel in the Goulburn Valley, Pat Tebble was a country recruit who earned his opportunity with South Melbourne during the 1928 VFL season. He broke into the senior side for the Round 4 clash against North Melbourne, retaining his place for three consecutive matches as the Southerners looked to find form. While his stint at the Lakeside Oval was brief and he was unable to establish himself as a regular fixture in the side, the family’s football lineage continued two decades later when his son, Bill Tebble, played senior football for Collingwood.
