Bio
Recruited from the Parkmore Football Club in Melbourne's south-eastern suburbs, Patrick Foy was a defender who joined the Sydney Swans during the club's tumultuous early years in the Harbour City. He broke into the senior lineup midway through the 1984 season, making his debut in Round 11 and holding his place for a block of seven games where he booted his only career goal. Standing 181cm, Foy was capable of playing on medium-sized forwards but found opportunities limited after his initial season. Despite remaining on the Swans' list through 1986, he did not feature at senior level again and eventually returned to local football and cricket in Victoria, becoming a well-known figure in the Mornington Peninsula sporting community.
