Bio
Selected with pick 11 in the 2007 National Draft, Patrick Veszpremi arrived at the Sydney Swans as a highly touted prospect from the Northern Knights. A strong-bodied utility with a booming left foot and solid contested marking ability, he was viewed as a player capable of impacting matches as a dynamic forward or midfielder. However, he struggled to secure a regular senior position in Sydney's disciplined system and was traded to the Western Bulldogs after the 2010 season in a swap for Andrejs Everitt. His time at Whitten Oval was similarly frustrated by fitness and consistency issues which prevented him from fulfilling his junior potential, and he was eventually delisted in 2013 after managing just a handful of games for the club.
