Bio
A versatile key position prospect from the Wangaratta Rovers, Paul Bryce commenced his career at North Melbourne where he was initially utilised as a tall forward and relief ruckman. Despite showing promise as a mobile big man, he was traded to Melbourne prior to the 1991 season in a high-stakes deal that saw the Kangaroos secure two early draft picks in return. The Demons reinvented the 194cm utility as a key defender, where he became a regular fixture in the backline and played in a final during his first season at the club. However, a severe shoulder injury derailed his 1992 campaign, leading to his surprise delisting. Bryce received a final lifeline from Sydney with the third pick in the 1993 pre-season draft, managing 17 games for the struggling Swans before persistent injury issues brought his AFL tenure to a premature close.
