Bio
Recruited from the Western Jets with pick 32 in the 2000 National Draft, Paul Chambers was a mobile ruckman who spent the majority of his career at Geelong. He initially developed as an understudy to Steven King, but injuries to the Cats' captain saw Chambers thrust into the primary ruck role for stretches, including appearances in the 2004 and 2005 finals series. With the arrival of Brad Ottens squeezing the ruck rotation at Kardinia Park, Chambers was traded to Sydney following the 2005 season to fill the void left by retiring premiership ruckman Jason Ball. Despite being brought in to support Darren Jolly, he struggled to impose himself within the Swans' contested game plan or impact the scoreboard, playing just 12 games in the harbour city before his AFL career concluded.
