Bio
Recruited from North Ballarat, Paul Hills was a pacy left-footed wingman who made a memorable entry into senior football by bypassing the reserves completely to debut straight from the Under 19s in 1991. Possessing excellent speed and delivery, he established himself as a key component of the famous "Baby Bombers" side, playing 20 games during the celebrated 1993 premiership season and featuring in the Grand Final victory over Carlton. While he appeared set for a long tenure on the Essendon wing, a combination of injuries and inconsistent form severely limited his output in subsequent years, restricting him to just 12 games over his final three active seasons. Although he was delisted and subsequently redrafted by the club for the 1997 season, he did not add to his senior tally, eventually departing as a premiership player whose best football was played during the club's early-90s peak.
