Bio
Recruited from Bankstown, Paul Holdsworth was a local New South Wales product selected by Sydney with pick 39 in the 1988 National Draft. Operating primarily as a forward capable of rotating through the midfield, he made his debut in 1989 as the Swans looked to bolster their ranks with homegrown talent. Despite showing early promise, he struggled to secure a permanent position in the senior lineup during a volatile period for the club on and off the field. Holdsworth managed only sporadic appearances across three seasons, ultimately departing the elite level at the conclusion of the 1991 season with six games to his name.
