Bio
Recruited from local club Thomson, Paul Jeffreys was a versatile key position player who offered Geelong flexibility at both ends of the ground. Standing 189cm, he was primarily utilized as a defender or relief ruckman but demonstrated his capacity as a swingman when he drifted forward to boot a career-high five goals against Fitzroy in 1981. After debuting as a teenager, Jeffreys endured a slow start to his career before enjoying his most consistent football in the early 1980s, becoming a regular fixture in the Cats' lineup during the 1981 and 1982 seasons. Despite his utility value and contested marking strength, he struggled to maintain a permanent spot in the latter half of his career, serving as a depth player until his departure from Kardinia Park.
