Bio
Recruited from the Calder Cannons with pick 49 in the 1999 National Draft, Paul Koulouriotis began his career at Port Adelaide during a period of immense squad depth. Unable to consistently break into the Power's formidable midfield, he managed just three senior appearances in four seasons before being traded to Geelong at the end of 2003 in search of greater opportunity. A prolific ball-winner at state league level, Koulouriotis offered the Cats depth as a hard-running midfielder capable of finding space and accumulating possessions, though he found himself competing for a spot within another rapidly emerging engine room. While he added 18 games in the navy and white, he was unable to cement a permanent position and was delisted following the 2006 season, exiting the system shortly after proving his quality by winning the VFL's J.J. Liston Trophy.
