Bio
Recruited from Montmorency in the Diamond Valley, Paul Stevens was a tall, lightly built utility who briefly established himself in the Collingwood lineup during the early 1970s. Arriving at Victoria Park where his older brother Robert was also on the list, Stevens made his senior debut as a teenager late in the 1971 season before becoming a regular contributor the following year. Standing 185cm, he was a handy mark and typically operated on a flank or wing, playing 17 games in 1972 as the Magpies pushed toward the finals. Despite appearing to have cemented his spot in the side with a breakout season, his VFL career concluded abruptly after just two years, leaving him as a promising talent whose time at the elite level was surprisingly fleeting.
