Bio
Recruited from Mortlake in Victoria’s Western District, Paul Wadham was a towering 196cm ruckman and key forward who made an immediate impression at Victoria Park. After progressing through the under-19s, he broke into the senior side in 1964 and quickly established himself as a formidable target, capping off his debut season by winning the Harry Collier Trophy as Collingwood's best first-year player and lining up in the Grand Final against Melbourne. Despite his substantial frame and promising start, Wadham’s time at the elite level was surprisingly brief; he played just five more games in 1965 before leaving the VFL to serve as playing coach for Kyabram in the Goulburn Valley League.
