Bio
Recruited from Bundoora, Paul Walker was a teenage prospect who broke into the Collingwood senior side late in the 1968 season. Standing 183cm, he was a utility who primarily operated as a forward flanker, making his debut aged just 17 in a Round 19 victory over Melbourne. Despite finding plenty of the football in his brief opportunities—averaging nearly 12 disposals a game—he struggled to convert on the scoreboard, registering three behinds without a major. After adding a solitary senior appearance early in the 1969 season, he was unable to cement a permanent spot in the Magpies' lineup and eventually transitioned to the VFA, where he continued his career with Preston and Coburg.
