Bio
Recruited from the local Mercantile Football Club, Percy Fletcher was a reliable defender who served Geelong with distinction during the early years of the VFL. He made his debut in 1901 but stepped away from the senior side for the entire 1902 season, a hiatus that only briefly interrupted his career. Fletcher returned to the lineup in 1903 and established himself as a consistent performer in the back half, playing regular football for the next four years alongside club greats like Teddy Rankin. While rarely hitting the scoreboard—booting just four goals in his 47 games—he was known for his steady defensive work and ability to quell opposition attacks, remaining a fixture in the Pivotonians' side until his final appearance in 1906.
