Bio
A product of Wesley College who cut his teeth with the Essendon Association, Percy Hordern was a diminutive utility who made a brief cameo for Melbourne during the 1906 VFL season. Standing at just 169cm, he was brought into the senior lineup for a mid-year debut against Carlton but found himself part of a struggling side that failed to register a win during his five-game tenure. While he managed to boot a goal during his short stint in the top flight, Hordern could not secure a permanent place in the Redlegs' side. His VFL career concluded after a Round 15 loss to Fitzroy, leaving him as a footnote from the club's Edwardian era before he faded from the league's view.
