Bio
A diminutive rover and forward pocket recruited from Port Melbourne Juniors, Percy Jackson was a journeyman whose VFL career was heavily impacted by the disruptions of the First World War. He debuted with South Melbourne in 1914, playing eight games, before crossing to St Kilda for the 1915 season. His tenure at the Junction Oval was cut short when the Saints withdrew from the competition for the 1916 and 1917 seasons due to the war, leaving Jackson without a club for two years. rather than returning to St Kilda when they rejoined the league, he resurfaced at Carlton in 1918 for a single senior appearance, booting a goal in his final VFL game. Standing just 168cm, Jackson was a classic "small man" of the era whose brief, three-club career was defined more by the instability of the times than by on-field continuity.
