Bio
Recruited from Kyabram in the Goulburn Valley, Percy Outram was a small, elusive forward with a sharp eye for goal. The brother of Collingwood and Richmond player Roy Outram, he began his career at Carlton where he quickly established himself as a dangerous scoring threat. Despite his consistent form, Outram was controversially dropped on the eve of the 1927 finals, a decision that prompted him to request a clearance to St Kilda. He flourished at the Junction Oval, maintaining an impressive strike rate of nearly two goals a game for the Saints. In a twist of fate, he lined up against Carlton in the 1929 First Semi-Final, kicking two goals in a hard-fought loss, before eventually retiring at the conclusion of the 1930 season.
