Bio
Recruited from Caulfield Juniors, Percy Sheehan established himself as a versatile utility at Fitzroy, though he played his best football as a rebounding half-back flanker. He was a key member of the Maroons' golden era, featuring in back-to-back premierships in 1904 and 1905 during a successful six-season stint at Brunswick Street. Sheehan crossed to Carlton in 1910 and played in that year’s Grand Final, but his performance was overshadowed by his role in the infamous all-in brawl against Collingwood; deemed a primary instigator, he received a massive 28-game suspension that wiped out his entire 1911 campaign. He returned to the VFL with Richmond in 1912 after serving his ban, but managed just four senior appearances before hanging up his boots.
