Bio
Recruited from Ivanhoe Amateurs, Peter Adams was a lively rover who made a brief but sharp impact at Victoria Park. He received his opportunity late in the 1986 season as a replacement for the injured Tony Shaw, debuting in Round 21 before producing a breakout performance the following week against St Kilda at Waverley. In just his second senior game, Adams gathered 19 disposals and booted four goals, nearly propelling the Magpies into the finals in a display that suggested a long future at the top level. Despite this electric start and representing the VAFA in their carnival victory that same year, he managed only four more appearances in 1987 before drifting out of the VFL system, remembered primarily for that singular, prolific cameo in front of the big sticks.
