Bio
Recruited from local club Mentone, Peter Bell was a roving forward who joined St Kilda just as the club's formidable lineup of the late 1960s began to disassemble. He demonstrated a genuine capacity for hitting the scoreboard, finishing his career with a neat average of exactly one goal per game, often utilised as a crumbing option inside the forward 50. Despite this offensive output, Bell found it difficult to cement a permanent position in the senior side, playing sporadically across five seasons at Moorabbin without ever managing more than ten games in a single year. He eventually departed the VFL scene following the 1977 season, leaving as a serviceable depth player during a transitional era for the Saints.
