Bio
Recruited from the Southport Sharks in Queensland with pick 46 in the 1995 National Draft, Peter Berbakov was a versatile utility who added depth to Kevin Sheedy's squad in the late 1990s. Operating primarily on the wing or across half-back, he relied on his endurance and discipline to fulfill run-with roles, enjoying his most consistent campaign in 1998 when he made 20 senior appearances. Despite his utility value, Berbakov found it difficult to cement a permanent position in an increasingly dominant lineup that was transitioning from the 'Baby Bombers' era into the powerhouse 2000 premiership team. After managing just three games during that historic season, he was delisted, ending a five-year tenure at Windy Hill where he served as a reliable backup to a star-studded midfield.
