Bio
Recruited from the small Victorian town of Campbell's Creek, Peter Brown arrived at Princes Park as a raw teenage prospect looking to make his name as a key forward. While he initially found it difficult to crack the senior side regularly, the strong-marking attacker timed his run to perfection during the 1979 season, hitting a rich vein of form to hold down the full-forward spot in Carlton's premiership victory over Collingwood. Despite that ultimate success, he struggled to maintain consistency within the Blues' star-studded lineup and sought a fresh start at St Kilda at the end of 1980. Brown spent his final two seasons at Moorabbin often playing in defence, showing his versatility before departing the VFL with a premiership medallion as the defining moment of his 55-game career.
