Bio
A product of Fitzroy’s development pathway who featured in the club's 1982 Under-19 premiership triumph, Peter Burke was a versatile utility capable of playing as a ruck-rover or in the back pocket. Standing 187cm, he possessed good mobility for his size and was often cited for his willingness to back his judgement and peel off his opponent to create drive from defence. He established himself in the Lions' senior side across the 1984 and 1985 seasons but fell out of favour the following year, prompting a move to Richmond for the 1987 campaign. Burke added just two senior appearances during his brief time at Punt Road before moving to the VFA, where he eventually tasted senior premiership success with Coburg.
