Stats
Bio
Recruited from the coastal town of Lorne, Peter Campbell was a tall key position prospect who arrived at Kardinia Park in the late 1950s. Standing 187cm, he was utilized primarily as a centre half-forward, offering a strong target in attack during a transitional period for the Cats. He earned his senior debut in Round 4 of the 1958 season—benefiting from a selection shake-up that saw established rover Neil Trezise omitted—and managed to hold his spot for six appearances. Despite showing glimpses of potential with four goals during his brief tenure, Campbell was unable to cement a long-term place in the side, with his VFL career confined to that single winter before he departed the top level.
