Bio
Hailing from the Mallee region, Peter Dow arrived at North Melbourne in the late 1950s and showed early promise as a rotating forward and follower. He made his debut in 1959, managing 11 senior appearances and contributing seven goals in a season where he looked capable of becoming a regular fixture in the side. However, Dow struggled to consolidate his position the following year, missing the entire 1960 senior season before returning for a final seven-game stint in 1961. While his VFL career was relatively brief, concluding after just 18 games, his contribution to the game extended well beyond his playing days, establishing a footballing lineage that returned to the elite level decades later through his grandsons, AFL midfielders Paddy and Thomson Dow.
