Stats
Bio
Debuting as a late inclusion for Melbourne in the opening round of the 1927 season, Peter Hannan was a half-back whose VFL career was bookended by significant stints in the Association. After just two senior appearances for the Redlegs, he departed the club to spend his prime footballing years in the VFA, playing more than 50 games for Yarraville and Prahran where he established himself as a reliable defender. Hannan earned a second opportunity at the highest level six years after his first, adding six games to his tally with Footscray in 1933 before eventually returning to Prahran. His football journey was ultimately a brief one, as he tragically passed away at the age of just 29.
