Bio
Originally hailing from Manuka in the ACT, Peter Kenny made his name with a successful Swan Districts outfit in the WAFL before being scouted by Carlton. Arriving at Princes Park as a mature-age recruit for the 1986 season, the Blues initially earmarked him for a defensive role, hoping he could settle at full-back. Instead, Kenny found his rhythm in attack, proving to be a dangerous mid-sized forward with strong overhead marking ability. He booted 20 goals in just 11 senior appearances—nearly two a game—but despite his scoring efficiency, he could not secure a long-term position in the powerful Carlton lineup. He remained on the list for the club's 1987 premiership year but did not add to his game tally, eventually departing the VFL to continue his career with Williamstown in the VFA.
