Bio
Recruited from Wodonga in the Ovens and Murray Football League, Peter Light arrived at Essendon as the club navigated a period of significant change. He made his senior debut in Round 12, 1980 against St Kilda under coach Barry Davis, but found opportunities scarce at Windy Hill as the team looked to regenerate its list. Light managed just one further appearance during the 1981 season—Kevin Sheedy's first year at the helm—and was unable to cement a position in the senior lineup. With his path to regular selection blocked, he departed the VFL scene after just two career games.
