Bio
Recruited from Hamilton in the Western District, Peter Linke was a utility player who arrived at Kardinia Park for the 1970 season. Standing 178cm, he made his senior debut in the opening round against Hawthorn but found himself on the fringe of selection throughout his brief VFL career, often shuffling between the reserves and the senior side. He managed six appearances in his first year and four in 1971, primarily filling roles in defence or on the bench where he was unable to impact the scoreboard. After failing to cement a permanent spot in the Geelong lineup, he transferred to Geelong West in the VFA, where he found greater consistency and became a respected figure for the Roosters during the 1970s.
