Bio
Recruited from Kensington YCW, Peter Marchesi entered the VFL with a significant family legacy to uphold, joining North Melbourne the season immediately following the retirement of his elder brother and club captain, Gerald Marchesi. Standing 179cm, he broke into the senior side for a debut in Round 3, 1955 against Essendon, where he gathered a respectable 12 disposals in a hard-fought loss. Despite showing early promise, Marchesi was unable to cement a permanent spot in the lineup, adding only two more senior games to his record before his time at the top level concluded. His brief career stands as a short postscript to the Marchesi family's strong connection to Arden Street during the mid-1950s.
