Bio
Recruited from VFA powerhouse Preston, Peter Marshall was a diminutive rover who made a brief cameo during Collingwood's famous 1977 season. Standing just 171cm, he broke into a strong Magpies lineup late in the year, debuting in Round 18 as the club managed injuries ahead of the finals. While he struggled to find the ball in his first two outings, Marshall produced a stunning breakout performance in Round 21 against South Melbourne at Victoria Park, amassing 23 disposals and kicking his solitary VFL goal. Despite this high-production effort, he played just one more match before being squeezed out of the side for the finals campaign, missing out on the historic Grand Final draw and replay against North Melbourne.
