Bio
Recruited from Deniliquin in the Riverina, Peter McIntyre initially entered the VFL system with Geelong but struggled to make a lasting impact at Kardinia Park, managing just two senior appearances across the 1985 and 1986 seasons. He subsequently moved to the SANFL to play for South Adelaide, where his form as a key forward eventually earned him a spot on the inaugural Adelaide Crows list in 1991. A tall target capable of strong marking and accurate finishing, McIntyre is best remembered for his starring role in the Crows' first-ever AFL match, where he booted four goals in a historic upset victory over Hawthorn at Football Park. Despite this explosive start to his second chance at the elite level, he found it difficult to cement a regular spot in the side, adding just 11 more games over two seasons before departing the league.
