Bio
Recruited from Dandenong after starring in their 1953 premiership side, Peter Morris was a pacy and skillful rover who seamlessly transitioned to VFL football. Operating primarily as a resting forward and rotating centreman, he possessed a sharp nose for goal, managing to kick a major in the majority of his appearances and topping the century mark for his career. His consistency was highly valued during a lean era for the Tigers, highlighted by a third-place finish in the 1959 Best and Fairest count and a top-five finish in 1957. Morris left Punt Road after the 1960 season to return to Dandenong, eventually carving out a distinguished post-VFL career as a captain-coach in the Riverina district.
