Bio
Recruited from Traralgon in country Victoria, Peter Munro was a medium-sized forward who played above his height thanks to his ability to take a strong contested mark. While he showed glimpses of potential at Footscray—including a three-goal haul against Carlton in 1977—he was unable to secure a regular senior berth over his three seasons at the Western Oval. Seeking greater opportunity, Munro moved to the WAFL to join Subiaco, where he quickly found his niche as a productive attacking target. He enjoyed a standout debut season in the West, leading the Lions' goalkicking in 1980 and establishing himself as a reliable contributor at state league level.
