Bio
The younger brother of Fitzroy regular Alex Ruscuklic, Peter showed immediate potential by booting six goals against North Melbourne in just his second VFL game, but he was unable to secure a permanent spot in the senior side at either the Lions or Geelong. While his elite-level career was brief, he reinvented himself as a formidable goal-kicking machine in the Sydney Football League with East Sydney. A powerful full-forward at the state level, he set a national record by kicking 213 goals in the 1981 season—a feat that included a massive 24-goal bag in a single match against St George. Ruscuklic later returned to country Victoria to coach and top the goalkicking tables with Myrtleford in the Ovens and Murray League, cementing a legacy as one of the most prolific non-VFL forwards in the history of the game.
