Teams

Recruited from the small Wimmera town of Brim, Peter West was a diminutive footballer who arrived at Kardinia Park during one of the club's absolute peaks. Standing just 173cm and weighing 65kg, he faced the unenviable task of breaking into a Geelong lineup that was in the midst of a record-breaking unbeaten run. West managed to crack the senior side for two appearances during the historic 1952 premiership campaign, a significant achievement given the incredible depth of talent at the Cattery that year. While he ultimately could not hold a spot in a team destined for the flag, his brief VFL career is forever linked to one of the most dominant seasons in league history.
