Bio
A highly decorated local junior recruited from Barwon, Peter Whyte arrived at Geelong with significant expectations after earning All-Australian selection at the Teal Cup. Standing 185cm, he was a versatile utility who broke into the senior side as a 17-year-old in 1986, earning his debut midway through the season. After a promising 1987 campaign where he played 14 games and looked set to cement a regular spot in the Cats' lineup, his progress was derailed by injury and form issues the following year. Unable to regain his foothold in the seniors, he departed Kardinia Park after the 1988 season, later playing for Werribee in the VFA and South Barwon in the GFL.
