Bio
Recruited from North Shore in the local Geelong Football League, Peter Zychla was a fringe player who struggled to command a regular position in the senior side throughout the early 1980s. Despite remaining on the Geelong list for five seasons, he found himself stuck behind a strong contingent of established midfielders and flankers at Kardinia Park, restricting him to just a dozen games at the highest level. Used primarily to provide depth and cover for injuries, he drifted in and out of the selected side under coaches Tom Hafey and John Devine before eventually parting ways with the club following the 1986 season.
