Bio
Recruited from Sydney side North Shore at a time when New South Wales produced few VFL footballers, Phil Bradmore arrived at the Western Oval as a tall key position prospect. Despite managing better than a goal a game during his stint at Footscray, he struggled to command a regular senior spot and spent significant time in the reserves, resulting in just 15 appearances over four seasons. Following his departure from the VFL, Bradmore forged a distinguished career in the WAFL with West Perth, where he flourished as a key position player and won the club's best and fairest, the Breckler Medal, in 1985. His strong form in the west earned him the rare distinction of playing representative football for two different states, lining up for Western Australia in 1985 before later representing his native New South Wales at the 1988 Bicentennial Carnival.
