Bio
A product of Winchelsea, Phillip Maddock proved himself a reliable contributor to Geelong's depth before briefly breaking into the senior lineup. He was an integral part of the club's dominant lower-grade era, playing in three consecutive reserves premierships from 1980 to 1982. The utility earned his VFL debut in Round 3 of the 1982 season, holding his spot for three matches and booting a goal, but his progress was halted by serious knee issues. Maddock was eventually forced out of the top level following knee reconstructions, later returning to local football to captain St Peters.
