Bio
Recruited from the Geelong Falcons with pick 30 in the 2010 National Draft, Piers Flanagan joined the Gold Coast Suns as part of the club's inaugural intake. A versatile left-footer best suited to a half-back flank, he possessed good height and neat disposal but faced stiff competition within the Suns' crowded ranks of emerging talent. After spending his entire first season developing in the NEAFL, he broke through for a debut in Round 5, 2012, playing three consecutive matches in the defensive half. Despite this brief run of form, Flanagan could not consolidate his position in the best 22 and was delisted at the end of that season.
