Bio
Recruited from Claremont with the sixth selection in the 1994 National Draft, Quenton Leach was a foundation player for the Fremantle Dockers who primarily operated as a running half-back. While he provided steady service in defence during the club's formative years, Leach permanently etched his name into Fremantle folklore during Round 8, 1997, when he kicked a goal after the siren to secure a dramatic victory over the Brisbane Lions at Subiaco Oval. He remained a regular fixture in the side until the end of 1998, when he was delisted after 56 games, later returning to the WAFL where he enjoyed premiership success. Tragically, Leach passed away in 2020 following a battle with cancer, remembered by the football community as a dedicated servant of the Dockers' inaugural era.
