Stats
Bio
Recruited from local stronghold Yarraville during the player shortages of the Second World War, Reginald "Jack" Law was a diminutive rover and forward who stood just 168cm. He broke into a competitive Footscray lineup late in the 1943 season, debuting against Richmond and managing to hit the scoreboard three times during his brief tenure at the Western Oval. While his time at the elite level was restricted to a handful of appearances over two seasons, Law remained a prominent figure in the western suburbs sporting scene for decades. He arguably found his true calling on the cricket pitch rather than the football field, becoming a stalwart of the Yarraville Cricket Club where he played nearly 300 games in the Victorian Sub-District Cricket Association in a marathon career that spanned over thirty years.
