Bio
Recruited from Preston in the VFA, Ray Davies arrived at North Melbourne as a defender but found it difficult to cement a permanent spot in the senior lineup during his four seasons at Arden Street. Debuting in 1965, he was used primarily in the back half, managing sporadic appearances rather than enjoying an extended run of form in the starting eighteen. After accumulating 25 games and a solitary goal between 1965 and 1968, he departed the club without having established himself as a regular fixture in the Kangaroos' defence.
