Stats
Bio
Ray Haynes was a lightweight wingman recruited to Footscray in the late 1960s, where he provided run and carry for the Bulldogs across four seasons. Standing 177cm and weighing just 75kg, Haynes relied on his pace and delivery to make an impact on the outer, debuting as a teenager in 1967. After a promising start, he found himself in and out of the senior side, playing his best football during the 1969 and 1970 seasons where he made 24 appearances combined. Struggling to cement a permanent spot in the starting 18 at the Western Oval, he crossed to Geelong for the 1971 season in search of greater opportunity. However, he managed only two senior games in the Hoops before his VFL career concluded, finishing with a total of 31 matches and a single goal.
